Dumpster diving is the dubious practice of sifting through rubbish to find items that have been discarded by their owners, but which may be useful to the scavenger.

Dumpster diving can also be refered to as skip diving, treasure hunting, urban foraging and curb shopping

Dumpster Divers will not only pick up discarded items left at the roadside, but some will climb into skips left on the roadside and behind shopping centers.

Description
Dumpster Diving is the modern name for an activity with its origins in the mists of time. An activity applauded in many in many parts of the world, a necessity in others. In the United Kingdom it has become difficult, criss crossing a plethora of modern legislation. Councils now have recycling collections and amenity waist collection centres, which have complicated ownership of discarded items. And scavengers should technically be in possession of waist carriers licences and safety certificates.

Dedication
Dumpster Divers are people who search for things that other people have thrown out but are still useful, can be recycled, or have value.
Commonly scavenged items include; aluminum cans, Computers & Accessories, VCR's, Televisions, Radios, Lawn Mowers, Vacuum Cleaners, Power Tools, telephones, answering machines, and bicycles.
