The Banbuco is a dance style of latin America, often described as the national dance of Colombia. It involves both male and female partners waving kerchieves in a flirtatious dance that enacts a courtship combining sensuosnm with dignity.

The Banbuco is most popular in Colombia and Venezuela, but has spread throughout the Latin American regeon.
Location
The music of the Bambuco is thought to be of African origin, whilst the dancing bears resemblance to Spanish influence. The beat being similar to that of the European Waltz or Polska.
