Medau is a social, fun, non-competitive activity. Which involves working out to a variety of music whilst using small apparatus such as balls, clubs and hoops. Classes aim to improve co-ordination, balance, posture, suppleness.

Developed by Hinrich Medau in Germany, this unique method of dance movement promotes the natural, rhythmic and creative freedom of movement we are born with to bring about strong but graceful movement.

Medau sessions are designed to stimulate and maintain the health of body and mind, developing good posture and core strength.
Description
The characteristics of Medau movement are wholeness, rhythm, swing, resilience, stretch and all classes include the five key fitness factors: strength, stamina, suppleness, cardio-vascular stimulation and co-ordination. A variety of music and percussion is used to accompany and direct the style and pace of the movement. Small apparatus such as balls, clubs, hoops and scarves are used to enhance and give focus to movement.
