Land and Sand Yachting (sailing), is the action of moving across land in a wheeled vehicle, powered only by the wind through the use of a sail. The vehicles are typically three-wheeled and function much the same as a water going yacht.
Location
Land sailing works best in windy, flat open areas, such as beaches, unused air fields and in foreign desert regions. Modern land sailors are normally known as "pilots". Land Yachts can achieve speeds, three to four times faster than the wind speed.
