Pocketbike racing, also know as Minimoto or Mini GP racing, is a category of racing where miniature racing motorcycles (known as pocketbikes or minimoto) are raced around kart tracks. A popular sport in Japan and Europe, gaining popularity all over.
Popularity
This is a vastly popular sport for sports sake and ownership, but has also attracted much criticism by the public because of the illegal use by some. There are few clubs. Catering for the serge in ownership of these machines is being addressed.
Age
All age groups from 6 to 60 can participate in this sport. But use on the road is a minimum age of 16.
Ability
Depending where and how you use these machines different requirements are needed. In race format the clubs will know all the legals. If used on the street the minimum age is 16, a drivers license and L's are required plus all legals such as MOT etc.

Dedication
Why such interest? This is mainly due to the fact that ten of our 1999 juniors have now moved on to Road Racing in championships such as 'The Aprilia 125 Challenge', the 'British 125 Championship' and the majority of the juniors that have moved up from MiniMoto's are now running in the top ten of their championship!
