An Orchestra is various musical instruments, including esp. stringed instruments of the violin class, clarinets and flutes, cornets and trombones, drums, and cymbals, for playing music, as symphonies, operas, popular music, or other compositions.

Orchestras are the back bone of the music industry and is very popular, supporting many pop groups and of course the proms which is a very popular event with many.
Location
Orchestras are based in many locations throughout the British Isles, normally performed in theatres but can be seen at local events such as country fairs, special occassions for royalty or public ceremony events.
Age
There are two categories of Orchestra, professional and amateur. The professional will attract obviously qualified and learned people, and the amateur which incorporates all age groups.
Ability
One needs to be able to follow a score, and duplicate that through an instrument of their choice as well as play in time and harmony with other people. Musical standards and exam passes are required for professional applications.
Description
An Orchestra is an ensemble of various large groups of musicians who play together on various instruments, usually including strings, woodwinds, brass instruments, and percussion instruments. These groups are usually brought together under the control of a conductor who is responsible for emphasise and timing in support of other acts such as opera, a solo pianist or other musician, or theatrical plays.

As with all team events dedication to practice upon practice is required for these events and the standard is generally a high requirement as there are many musicians looking for work.

There is potential to perform all over the world, as well as at local events. To meet new people and make lasting friendships. On top of this have the ability to meet stars and performers, that one would not normally have access to.
