It is illegal to stage a bare knuckle fight in the United Kingdom, because of the possibility of causing real physical injury to an opponent.
Description
Bare knuckle fighting is the predecessor of modern day boxing, see HIPS activity no 86. In bare knuckle fighting the rules are a lot more lax than boxing, a bout being decided by either a knockout or submission. There is normally a purse to be won by the winner, and there is a lot of betting on the outcome by the spectators.
