Wood turning is a highly historic interest dating back to 1300BC and was developed by the Egyptians involving two people, one turn the wood using a rope pulley type mechanism while the other carried out the art. Wood turners will tell you that wood turning is an 'art' and not a 'science' as many projects do prove.
