YO-YO is not just a word used by rappers and on the street but in fact a toy, made of two discs, axel and a piece of string, that you flicked up and down with your wrist it later developed into a craze performing tricks and stunts.

It is not quite clear how the YO-YO originated, however around the 1930's, rumours were rife that it was developed from a weapon though that was just mere speculation, archeology shows that as far back as 500BC in Ancient Greece a terracotta YO-YO was in circulation as was play. In the 1990's there was a huge craze with tricks and stunts such as 'walk the dog' and 'around the world' being performed all over the world with many different styles of art work adorning the YO-YO.
