Busking is a tradition that reaches back for hundreds of years, with the lack of technology being able to record music it was a welcome form of entertainment. Today we see busking in many different guises, from that of the traditional singer with the guitar, to small bands and living art, magicians and acrobats. Some people stereotype buskers as beggars but this is not so buskers like to think of themselves as performers and being paid by tip or donation for offering their type of entertainment.
