5 a side football is a variation on the F.A. football of 11 players in that it only has 5 players, is often played on a smaller pitch and can be played indoors.

This is a highly popular game with clubs and schools being able to play in foul weathers in their sports halls.

Anyone can play 5 a side football from the very young to the very old though obviously you would have to be aware of age ratio when playing with very young children.

Description
5 a side football does not really hold any rules of it's own and generally plays by the usual F.A. rules though players at the beginning of a match may decide on certain rules that can be incorporated in to the game, this is very much the players own game. Clubs, schools and friends down the park can enjoy a game of 5 aside, many friends play 5 a side as it is sometimes easier to recruit 10 players (2 teams) instead of 22 players (2 F.A teams) look through HIPS Finder? to find a club near you.

Dedication
Some players like to practice their game once a week as well as playing a match, keeping a check on health and fitness as well to help maintain a perfectly honed 5 aside fighting machine.
