Since its foundation in 1893 the Girls Brigade has become known worldwide as a fun, interesting, challenging and relevant provider of activities, skills, care and Christian love for hundreds of thousands of young people.

Popularity
Girls Brigade connects with around 30,000 children and young people each week, and operates in over sixty countries. Local companies normally meet weekly on a weekday evening, operating from a local church, school or community centre.

Location
Local companies of Girls Brigade can be found in towns and villages throughout the British Isles.

Age
Girls Brigade begins working with children from the age of four years and stays with them through to adult life.

Girls Brigades range of activities is suitable for all sorts of children and young people, there approach engages the whole child, through spiritual, phisical, educational and service based activities.

Closely Related Activities
Girls Brigade is the sister activity to the Boys Brigade. Girls Brigade enjoys many of the activities taken part in by other youth activities. Camping, Banding and the Duke of Edinburgh award Scheme being prime examples.
