A car Enthusiast is someone, either male or female who is passionate about a particular make or model of car.
There are many enthusiast clubs dedicated to a particular make or model of car. Being a car enthusiast is an activity that can be pursued alone or as a member of a group. It is an ideal activity in which to involve the whole family.
Enthusiast clubs are found throughout the world, although particular make or model clubs, will only be found in certain countries, either the country of manufacture or where there is an abundance of like minded enthusiasts.
There is a minimum age restriction on driving on public roads or places, there is no minimum age to owning a car or being an enthusiast.
To be a successful enthusiast you need some level of mechanical know-how and a meticulous nature to detail and presentation. If you intend to drive on the road a driver driving licence is necessary, and a certificate of roadworthiness for the Car.
Being A car enthusiast can involve many different levels of interest, from the person who is an enthusiast, learning all about the particular car but not actually owning one them self, The enthusiast who owns and maintains, and may even use as a means of transport a car, to the enthusiast who buys a heap of seemingly unwanted scrap and lovingly restores to its former show room days of glory.
Being a car enthusiast is a recreational pastime that can have a competitive side, it is an activity that does not involve any set amount of time, but beware it can and often does become an all time consuming passion, hence the often heard expression; that car is the love of his/her life.
The potential of joining an enthusiasts club, is meeting with like minded people to share experiences and knowledge. And above all to show your car off in its best possible condition Many enthusiast clubs have regular area meets and rallies.
Closely related activities include, Classic Cars 408, Kit Cars 787, Motor Touring 420. Some models of car may also have a particular interest in other more specialized areas of motoring such as, Rallying 418, Hill Climbing 413 or Racing 417.
To join an enthusiast club will only cost between £25 and £50 per Annam, to attend or enter a show or rally will cost extra. The owning and maintaining of a car depends entirely on the make or model of car, and the amount of work you are able to undertake yourself.
