Description
Tightrope; Is the art of maintaining balance while walking along a tensioned wire. It can be done using either a balancing pole, or freehand, using only one's body to maintain balance. Slackrope; The tension on the wire is only provided by the weight of the performer. The difference for the performer is that to balance on a tight wire you have to keep your center of mass above your feet whilst on a slack wire you move the wire with your balance to be under your mass center.
