Aggressive Inline skating is also often referred to by participants as Rollerblading, or Blading and includes a variety of advanced skating maneuvers such as grinds, airs and slides. Tricks can be performed on almost any obstacle.
Popularity
The early years of the twenty first centuary have seen a major resurgence for the sport, due to street skating becoming increasingly popular. This is particularly pleasing, coming after the sports sharp decline of the late 1990s.
Ability
There are three major types of aggressive inline skates: hard boots, soft boots, and skeletal skates
Dedication
The IMYTA (I Match Your Trick Association) provide a venue for skaters to demonstrate these tricks. The IMYTA hold contests at street locations. All of the competing skaters have to match each trick in the first round of skating or be eliminated. The progression continues with the pool of skaters dwindling and more dangerous and difficult tricks being performed until a winner is declared.
