Hide and Seek, also known as Hide and go Seek or Hidey. Is a traditional childrens game in which all players except one hide themselves in the close environment, to be searched out and found by the "seeker". There are numerous variants of this game.
Age
Supervised children from the age of four years.
Description
The game starts with all players in a central location. One player is given the position of seeker, known as "it".
There are two portions to the game:
The hiding, where all the players except "it" locate a place in which to hide.
And the seeking, where "it" attempts to locate as many of the players as possible. The overall objective is to remain undiscovered by "it".
Dedication
The hiding part of the game begins with "it" counting out loud to a predetermined number, often with the aid of a word that takes about one second to say (e.g., "one-alligator, two-alligator..."). During the count, the other players find a place to hide. When the counting is completed, the "it" player announces the start of the seeking by shouting "Ready or not" or "here I come!". "It" then begins a search for the hiding players.
the next game's "it" is usually the first or last to be found.
