Blindfolded Thai Boxing is a novelty sport, in which two Thai boxers are blindfolded. Then using only their intuition and hearing for guidance, try to box in the normal way. Bouts are fought over three rounds lasting two minutes each.
Ability
Blindfolded Thai Boxing demands three essentials;
1) Competitors should be competent in Thai boxing.
2) Have good hearing.
3) Have good ring intuition as too the opponents movement.
Description
As the boxers cannot see each other, they have to use their ears to hear where their opponent is standing. To aid detection, dried leaves ( traditionally those of the Nipa palm) are used, being scattered on the ground to make a rustling sound as they are walked over. The crowd also help by shouting directions whenever the boxers near each other.
