Faberge is the most well known producer of decorated eggs and these can fetch very large sums of money as only a few were made. Modern eggs are actual hen, duck, goose and ostrich eggs which are carefully preserved and then cut, mounted and decorated by hand to the highest standards. They are generally produced for birthdays, anniversaries and other special events.

Dedication
The best time to find eggs is around Easter time when they are produced especially for the season. They can usually be found at all sorts of locations such as fairs. Storage of the collection is the most important aspect of the hobby, as with delicate or fragile items they can easily become damaged.
