Association Football, also referred to as Football or Soccer.
Football is a game played on a rectangular field, between two teams of eleven players. The game object being to put the ball into the opponents goal, using only your feet, torso or head.

Football is a game traditionally played outside on a grass field (pitch). However such is the appetite to play the game that it is now also played outside on all weather pitches, some of which are floodlit. And also indoor pitches of restricted size.
Age
Football can be played by children aged from around five years, football is a mixed gender sport up until the age of eleven, when sexes must be segregated there is no upper age limit it just depends on your level of fitness and appetite for the game

Football being so popular, there is a team to suit every ability. For the more talented players, there is a player pathway in place, indentifying through participation and performance, those with potential, driving excellence to the top.
Description
Football F.A is a game played with 11 players, the main object of the game is to get the ball past the opposition to the opposing goal and score by kicking the ball into the net past their goal keeper. It is only the goal keeper who is allowed to touch the ball by hand, the rest of the players generally kick the ball, though it can be touched by any other part of the body usually by heading the ball causing it to bounce in the direction the player desires.

The major international competition in football is the World Cup, organised by FIFA. This competition takes place over a four-year period. More than 190 national teams compete in qualifying tournaments.

Football is not an expensive game to play, with many informal games being played (kick arounds) with players wearing their normal clothing, the pitch a piece of convenient ground, the surface of which is immaterial and the goals being marked by anything often the players coats, the ball being the only cost.
