Grass skiing is just that skiing on grass, and is it's own sport, however with the snow melting in the ski resorts and with little snow in the UK Grass Skiing became a popular sport, originally created in Germany in 1966.

Description
Grass Skiing is a sport in it's own right with competitions and events being held world wide, this sport became more popular when snow ski resorts melted, this enabled the seasoned snow skier to keep their ski legs. The ski's are made from a caterpillar design, some are made from just wheels looking like a long slim roller blade, this enables the action, poles are also used to help manoeuvre the obstacles, skiers are also required to wear helmets for safety.
