The Highland games have been played for many years dating back at least to the 11th Century, the object of the games was for man to show either by strength or apparent magic his ability to maintain the area where he lived. Categories of the games vary with, Heavy events such as Caber tossing, Hammer Throw and Stone Put. Music where bagpipe bands amass. Dance with modern dance such as ballroom, square dancing and traditional dancing such as Scottish Dancing, Sword dancing and Highland Fling.
