Description
The Mothers' Union was started in England in 1876 by Mary Sumner, the wife of an Anglican clergyman (left: In 1915 with a portrait of her husband, George, behind her). She wished to enable mothers to fulfill their responsibility for the material and spiritual well-being of their children. The Mothers' Union now has over one million members world-wide, committed to supporting the family.
Dedication
The Mothers Union is about all aspects from parenting and family management, to schooling and representation in parliament being influential in all aspects of bills being passed that concern the family, families welfare, liaison between employer and parents. A great deal of dedication is committed by this Union.
