Treasure Hunting conjures up pictures of pirates with maps, sailing the high seas to remote islands to find the treasure of a life time that would make them all rich, today it is a popular and fun party game or interest.

Highly popular this is a fun and innovative game. Generally used for parties and also the basis for many a good film, Indiana Jones, Treasure Island and more.

Location
Modern day treasure hunts are set up around the home and in the garden, though on larger scale events this can be in a woods around a town etc.

Age
Treasure Hunting is enjoyed by various ages with young children accompanying their older friends brothers and sisters to no upper age limit.

Ability
Do you need and eye patch and a tri-corn hat? well that is up to you but the ability to have fun is a must, for the bigger events sometimes used to raise money for charity skills such as orienteering might be useful.

Description
Treasure hunting in the modern world has many aspects to it from explorers finding and exploring shipwrecks, to organised events for children's parties, stag/hen weekends to corporations using them as team building exercises, there are companies throughout the UK who run Treasure Hunts purely as a business venture for these reasons. This doesn't have to be taken seriously either, dress up and have lots of fun finding the hidden treasure, children especially enjoy this activity.
