Bandy, once known as Hockey On Ice, is a game where a ball is hit with a stick on the ice, this is not to be confused with Ice Hockey.
Popularity
Though an ancient game Bandy is very popular today.
Location
Though originally played on a piece of sheet ice in the winter, Bandy is now also played on Ice Rinks.

Bandy can be played from a young age to no upper age limit.
Ability
You will need to be able to ice skate to play the game of Bandy.
Description
The rules to Bandy are similar to that of Association football, playing with teams of 11 including the goal keeper, the goal keeper does not use a stick but wears plenty of padding and can handle the ball, the game is played for 2, 45 minute halves. Although Bandy is an ancient game it came to Britain in the 19th century.
Dedication
Don't end up Bandy yourself by lack of skill over your skating, practice your technique on the local rink for fun and incorporate that with game play and you are away, teams may even practice more than once a week especially if there is a game or match to play.
