Bagatelle is an indoor table top game. The game object of which is to propel with a cue like stick, a number of balls past fixed pins (which act as obstacles) into holes of varying score.
Bagatelle is a precursor of the modern pinball machine.

The table is standardised at 7 feet by 21 inches, modern tables tend to be much smaller, to facilitate portability and modern homes and lifestyle. Still popular it is not as popular as the pre TV era, when it was a major indoor entertainment.

Description
In the early 19th centurary the table was standardised at 7 feet by 21 inches, and the number of game balls at nine. The balls are shot up a side track using a stick or cue. the balls then roll back down the table ricocheting off of the pins in an attempt to achieve the harder, higher-scoring holes, balls that fail to be holed score zero. Each player plays all nine balls, totaling the score of the nine balls to determin the winner.
