Wheelchair users can dance both socially and competitively, actively participateing in most popular dance styles. Competitive wheelchair dance has four competitive forms; combi-dance, duo-dance, group-dance and single person routines.

Wheelchair dancing is rapidly growing in popularity around the world, being competed in more than 40 countries. Wheelchair Dance is now recognized as an official international paralympic sport.

People of all ages can enjoy wheelchair dance.
Ability
People of all physical abilities can participate in dance activities. Manual and power mobility chairs can be used.
Description
A) Combi-dance: Integrates an able-bodied individual with a disabled dancer and allows couples to participate in all popular dances.
B) Duo-dance: Features two wheelchair dancers gracing the dance floor together.
C) Group-dance: Includes wheelchair users and able-bodied individuals dancing in synchronized formation, as well as participating with free-style movement to the music.
D) Single dance: Describes solo performances when a wheelchair user dances alone.
Dedication
Favorite dance styles include, square dancing, line dancing, ballet, jazz, Latin American, and traditional ballroom dancing.
