`Nurspell` is a traditional Lincolnshire (England) boys game. The game is played with a Kibble (bat) and a Nur (ball) The game object is to launch from a trap the Nur and then strike it while in the air, as far as possible.

Description
Nurspell is played by striking the kibble onto a trap, which launches the nur into the air. The game object is to hit the nur as far as possible with the kibble before the nur hits the ground. Players take it in turn to attempt the strike, If a player fails to hit the nur he is out. Play continues until all players are out, having failed to hit the nur. The player who has hit the nur the furthest is then declared the winner.
Dedication
In some game forms ( Hornussen ) players not taking the bat, stand in the ball target area. The object being to bring the ball down, and so lesson the distance acheived. In other game forms if the ball is caught, the batsman is out (Trap-Ball).
