Slamball is a full contact combination sport which was created to approximate a real-life video game. Slamball combines the skills of basketball, the physical play of hockey and the acrobatics of trampolining into one, fast moving sport.
Popularity
Originating in the United States of America this totally new sport of Slamball is fast spreading round the world. Slamball is a very visual sport, attracting huge crowds of spectators to events.

The Slamball rules, permit some physical contact between the members of the four-player teams.
Description
Slamball is played in four five minute quarters, between two teams. Each team has as squad of 8 players of whom only 4 may be on court at any one time, substitutions occur during the game without stoppages.The main difference from the parent sport of basketball is the court; below the padded basketball rim and backboard are four trampolines set into the floor which serve to launch players to great heights for spectacular slam dunks.
Dedication
The Slamball court is 55ft X 94ft. The basket is 10ft from the back edge of the court. An 8ft high plexi-glass wall surrounds the entire court, to keep the game flowing. There are 8 rectangular trampolines positioned on the court (4 at each end). Each trampoline has a bounce area measureing 14ft X 7ft.
