A taut Hula Hoop-sized net is positioned at ankle level between a pair of two-player teams. The ball is smacked down on the net so it ricochets up at your opponents. They have up to three hits between them to control it and return the bounce.
Description
Spikeball is played by two teams of two. Each team starts on opposite sides of the net.
Team One serves by hitting the ball off the net towards Team Two. Team Two has up to three hits between them before returning the ball to the net. Once the ball is in play there are no longer “sides”. Each team member can run anywhere at any time. Play continues as a volley until one team can not return the ball. Side-out scoring is used. (Only the serving team can score).
Dedication
Teams switch serving sides once the first team has reached 11 points. First team to 21 points wins (must win by two). Use side-out scoring. If your team served and the other team cannot return your shot, you’ve won a point.
