Uckers is a competitive board game which uses a board and two dice, and is contested by two or four players. The aim of the game being to get all of your pieces around the board and home without your opponent getting any home at all.

Location
Uckers is traditionally played in the Royal Navies of Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, also the Fleet Air Arm.

Age
Although traditionally a naval game, it can be played by anyone, from eight or nine years of age and upwards.

Description
In order to exit your base it is necessary for you to throw a six, To travel around the board two dice are thrown, players moving the amount shown on the dice, a six permitting an extra turn. A throw can be split up into the two separate numbers so it is possible to move two different pieces. If a player's piece lands on a square with an opponent's piece, that piece is sent back to the opponent's base.

Dedication
If your piece lands on a square with a playing piece of the same colour, this is known as a blob and is basically a barrier. An opposing piece is not allowed to jump over them, but friendly pieces can. The only way an opposing piece can get by a blob is to destroy it. To do this they will need to have a playing piece adjacent to the blob and then on their turn throw X + 1 sixes where X = the number of playing pieces forming the blob.

Potential
A player must roll the exact number of spaces left, to get a piece home.
