The bull in the Red Sea, is a traditional childrens playground game still played by Danish children today. The game purpose is simple, fast moving and entertaining. The bull must be kept fenced in, to prevent him escaping and goring another player.

Played by school children aged between 5 and 12 years.

Teaches unselfish team play.

Description
Players stand in a circle holding a tied rope at waist hieght. In the middle of the circle is one person – the bull, who has to gore (catch) one of the people holding the rope. To avoid this, the players in the circle will drop the rope and get away from the bull. But the other players must keep the rope up, so that the bull does not get a chance to escape. If the rope falls down, the bull can run out and catch whomever he wants.

Dedication
Meaning, that a person fleeing from the bull must immediately get back and hold the rope again to keep the bull in the circle. This creates a constant flow back and forth to keep the rope up. If the bull catches somebody, that person becomes the next bull.
