Yogalates is a modern exercise system, designed to integrate the methodology of Pilates with the practice of Hatha Yoga, for a more complete system of exercise.
Description
Yoga focuses on strength, flexibility, and spirituality Whereas Pilates focuses on building strength in the deep muscles of the abdominal region, the body's core. Both practices involve attaining specific postures, emphasizing correct breathing and meditative mindfulness.
Dedication
Sessions consist of a series of floor exercises incorporating both matwork exercises from Pilates and Yoga poses to warm up the body and prepare the student for more challenging standing work later in the session. Sessions end in a traditional way with deep relaxation and meditation, often accompanied by soothing music.
