Take your dog for a walk! Not just the walk of duty round the block. Take your dog to the countryside, the shoreline, somewhere different. The outing and the fresh air will do you both good. Turn dog walking into an adventure for you both.
Location
In the United Kingdom we are spoilt by the abundance of scenic and varied countryside, Country parks, public footpaths and shoreline available and waiting to be explored.
Age
Walking a dog can be enjoyed by people of all ages, as long as the prime walker or someone in the group is capable of taking full responsibility for the dog. If you walk alone, sharing your expeditions with a dog, is just like walking with a friend.
Dedication
Do not let the fact that you do not have a dog of your own prevent you from enjoying this activity. Offer to take someone else's dog for a walk. There are many reasons why owners may not be able to exercise their dog for themselves; old age, poor health, at work, away on holiday are just a few. By taking someone else's dog for a walk, you will not only get the enjoyment of the walk for yourself, you will be doing a good turn to both the dog and owner.
