Description
Cruising is a complex activity, that has to be experienced to be truly understood. It creates a bond between those on board working and living in close conditions. It develops life and household skills as they occur. Cruising gives access to views and adventures that can only be gained from the water, and acts as a spring board for many other activities, such as observing the many aspects of nature, swimming, diving, reading, painting. In fact life takes an unhurried pace of its own.
Dedication
As with all sea going activities there is a lot maintenance and out of season work to be done, more so than most with a cruiser. Although much of this can be done by professional boat yards, most owners take such a pride in their vessel that they prefer to do the bulk of it themselves. This not only saves them money, but gives them a greater understanding of their boat should a repair become necessary while sailing. This often tedious work is not an act of dedication, but one of love.
Potential
The potential of cruising is to travel the world, while experiencing all of the many challenges the elements can provide.
