Wall climbing is an interest carried out on a man made wall using similar techniques to that of rock climbing.

Usually carried out at sports centres though some organisations do sometimes set the smaller walls up outside.

The average starting age is age 8 to no upper age limit.

You will need a head for heights a good sense of health and physical fitness.
Description
Wall climbing is a sport of high interest, the walls are man made with different sized and shaped 'holds' over the wall some of the bigger walls have incorporated over hangs to manoeuvre and have set courses on them. There is a huge safety aspect and with the climber being strapped into a safety harness and attached to an instructor or partner who can release the climber back down slowly if they should slip, sometimes people race to the top, the first one reaching the top is the winner.
