Biathle is a combined competitive activity for individuals of both sex and a wide range of age. Run, swim, run continuously. Often used as associate an of modern pentathlon.
Popularity
Biathle is rapidly gaining in popularity. Although some athletes specialize in the event , to most it is used as a training event for the more grueling competitions of pentathlon and triathlon.
Location
Biathle has by nature to centre around a suitable swimming pool. The runs can either run to and from the pool, or as is more usual in a circular route from the pool, in other words both runs start and finish at the pool.
Age
Biathle competition age categories used are, 10 - 18 years = Youths (sub divided into five groups) 19 - 21 years = Juniors 22 - 35 years = Seniors 35 plus years = Masters
Description
The Biathle is a continuous run swim run race. Distances vary according to age and experience. The range is, 500mtr run followed by 50mtr swim followed by 500 meter run, for the youngest and inexperienced competitors. To 1500 meter run followed by 200 meter swim followed by 1500 meter run, for the seniors. The swim is carried out in a swimming pool.

Biathle is a great fun keep fit activity, involving running and swimming training over the distance to be raced.

Biathle is a non Olympic activity, competitions being normally of locally organised open challenge events, combinating in the British nationals.
