The game of Word Building is the Creating of words from a single letter, this is a vocabulary stretching parlour game for between two and six players. The only equipment necessary to play, a pen and piece of paper.
Location
Can be played in the home, in the classroom or in any community meeting place.
Age
Word Building can be played by players from the age of six years upwards, especially when played as a mixed age family game.
Ability
Players need a good knowledge of words, a quick mind and the ability to read and spell competently.
Word building, When played at its higher levels is a game of great skill and Knowledge.
Description
The first player writes down a letter. The next player adds a letter, and must have an ultimate word in mind. The next player adds another letter, again working towards spelling out a word. Next player adds another letter, and so on, until nobody can add any further letters.
If a player thinks that another player doesn't have an ultimate word in mind, the player can be challenged, and if he can't reveal the word, he's out. However if the challenge is lost the challenger is out.
