A Good Neighbour Scheme uses voluntary effort from local people to provide help for anyone in the local community who needs assistance.
Location
Good Neighbour Schemes are operating in cities, towns and parishes across the country. If there not one operating in your area, ask why not? Or set one up yourself.
Age
There is no formal age restriction to being a good neighbour. Some tasks undertaken may have their own restrictions, e.g. driving a motor car.

Tasks undertaken could include;
Providing transport to appointments or shopping.
Undertaking simple household tasks such as changing a light bulb or moving small items of furniture.
Companionship for those who would like a chat and cup of tea or maybe playing a game of Cards or Scrabble ect.
